Collect start number and data chip
All our participants must wear a start number and data chip. These are collected at our race offices. Start numbers and data chips that are not collected the day before the race will be at the race office at your start location. On the page Opening Hours you can see when our race offices are open.
There are five data chips in every start envelope. The chips aren’t connected to any
particular section, so just make sure every participant has one. There are five number bibs, one for each section; next to the start number you’ll find the red section number.
Start numbers for Stafettvasan can be collected from Sunday February 24.
Getting to the start
The registration fee includes bus transportation for participants on sections 1 and 2. Ticket booking is mandatory and done on the page The Vasaloppet busses.
Book your ticket on the page Traffic and transport.
Several transport logistic changes have been made in order to avoid crowding and to make things easier for participants. Regardless of where participants are coming from, Sälen or Mora, one car is needed per team. We recommend everyone to park their car in Terminal Oxberg and to take busses from there to the various exchanges. The participation fee covers all bus transport. For sections 1 and 2, bus booking is mandatory and can be made through the link below. Driving to the Hökberg exchange is no longer permitted and the Spjutmodammen crossing is completely closed to car traffic. To read more detailed information regarding transport logistics, see the link below.
Busses from Terminal Oxberg go to, and from, the different Stafettvasan sections. You may park your car here and take a bus to the exchange. Why not meet up with your teammates, spend some time together, eat food you’ve brought along or buy something in the café? Stadium also has a last minute shop carrying simple equipment. A heated cabin will be open 07:00–16:15.
More information about traffic during Stafettvasan can be found on the page Traffic information.
Through Vasaloppet’s official wax services you can get your skis waxed before the race. Vasaloppet’s wax services can be booked in advance, though the number of pre-bookings is limited.
What to do with your clothes
The team has received two plastic sacks to pack clothes in, one for section 1 and one for section 2. The plastic sacks are marked with the team’s start number. Keep your change of clothes dry with an extra plastic bag inside your bag when you send it with our transportation trucks.
We recommend packing your change of clothes in a backpack, and putting that backpack in the plastic sack. It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure the plastic sack is left in the designated location at the start area. The organizers will transport the sack to Mångsbodarna.
When you’ve skied your section you will collect the plastic sack at the designated location before going on the bus back to Sälen, or on to Evertsberg (continuing to Mora for those who want).
We recommend packing your change of clothes in a backpack, and putting that backpack in the plastic sack. It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure the plastic sack is left in the designated location at the change over in Mångsbodarna. The organizers will transport the sack to Evertsberg. In Evertsberg the plastic sack can be collected at the designated location.
All participants handle transporting their own clothes. A tip is to carry your clothes in a backpack during the race.
