You can now follow the course layout for all the distances in Vasaloppet’s week. This requires that you have Google Earth installed on your computer.
If you do not have the program: Click here to automatically reach the download page (the program is free!)
90 km (Vasaloppet, Öppet Spår, and StafettVasan) Click here
45 km (HalvVasan, SkejtVasan) Click here
30 km (KortVasan, TjejVasan, SkejtVasan) Click here
This is how you follow the course layout:
1. Click on plus (+) beside ”2010-02-09….”
2. Click on plus (+) beside “Track Info”
3. Mark the text “Path”
4. Click on symbol for ”spela upp tur” (low down to the right of the panel on the left)
Study the different sections closely. Here you can read off both the distances and the track characteristics. Some parts are tough challenges, others more suited to recovery. Use the map to plan your own checkpoints and supporter claque!
Here too you can also follow your friends direct on the map during an actual race (just now only for ski races). Fill in their name and/or start number. And, of course, you can also find yourself or someone else afterwards with times registered for each checkpoint.
