How can one begin to describe a race which, over the years, has attracted more than 120,000 (!) women to the Oxberg start?
A marvellous and fantastic combination of sheer enjoyment, sweat and companionship. Here are all sorts, from the solitary elite or top recreational skier to great exuberant gangs of girls, gliding past on the well prepared tracks of Vasalopps Arena’s most easily negotiated section. Cheering supporter groups are strikingly evident, as is generous spectator encouragement for those who show signs of running out of steam on some uphill climb. At the checkpoints you are met by live music, the famous blueberry soup, and that absolutely special atmosphere which follows from so many women striving towards the same goal on one and the same day.
