64 nations and more statistics for Vasaloppet's Winter Week 2019

On Tuesday (2019-02-19) at midnight online registration closes for Vasaloppet's Winter Week 2019. After that you need to register on location. Yes, you can actually register all the way up until the start if there are places available. As per tradition we will present some geographic registration statistics for Vasaloppet's Winter Week 2019.

Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2019 will have eleven different races. (Additionally there are the Barnens Vasalopp children’s races in Sälen on February 23 and Mora on March 2. These two races are not part of the statistics below.)

Preliminary numbers show that 49 percent of the 60,000 registered participants are skiing the whole distance from Sälen to Mora in Vasaloppet, Öppet Spår Sunday, Öppet Spår Monday or Nattvasan 90. 51 percent of participants are registered for the shorter races. Registrants are between ages 7 and 90. The average age is 40.4 years. 63 percent are men and 37 percent women.
