Vasaloppet Arena Premiere for Trailvasan 10 and Trailvasan 30

These past two years, the Vasaloppet family of running races has expanded with two exciting new additions: Trailvasan 10 and Trailvasan 30. Due to the pandemic, neither race has been held in the Vasaloppet Arena up until now, but it will finally happen this August!

During the pandemic, Hemmavasan was arranged during the summer of 2020 and 2021, allowing participants to cycle and run Vasaloppet anywhere in the world while carrying out their race in the virtual Vasaloppet Arena via an app. Hemmavasan Trail 10 was introduced and it became the most popular running distance. Now Trailvasan 10 is one of the standard Vasaloppet Summer Week races.

Trailvasan 10 is an evening race that starts and finishes in Mora. No winner is crowned but times and results are registered and all participants wear a number bib. Everyone is welcome from the year you turn 11 and medals and diplomas are awarded after the finish. Both start and finish take place by the Vasaloppet finish in Mora and the course partly follows the Vasaloppet track, but also runs across other historic Vasaloppet land.

Trailvasan 30 was supposed to run for the first time during the Summer Week 2020. The 30 km distance was in high demand and it opened up the possibility of completing Vasaloppstrippeln 30. For two years, the race has been conducted digitally, but on Saturday, August 20, 2022, it’s finally time for it to take place in the Vasaloppet Arena.

Participants in Trailvasan 30 start in Oxberg and travel the 30 kilometres down to the finish in Mora on forest roads and Vasaloppet track, through summer farms and woods, past the classic Vasaloppet checkpoints in Hökberg and Eldris. The 30 km race follows the same route as the last part of Ultravasan 45 and Ultravasan 90. Winners will be crowned in two classes: men and women. At the same time, participants have a full nine hours to get to the finish line in Mora, giving the opportunity to walk, hike or jog the distance.
