Welcome to Cykelvasan 90
Your cycling event begins in Berga by, Sälen. You can pick up your start number in Mora or in Sälen, either in the days before or at the start area before you head off. Once there, you leave your bag with change of clothes at the correct truck – which safely transports your bag to the finish. The women’s competition class starts at 08.00, the men’s competition class at 09.00 and the first non-competition class at 09.15. After that, starts go in groups of approximately 200 participants every five minutes. You should be in the start area at least 30 minutes before your start.
The course covers 90 km of forest roads or gravel and 5 km of asphalt on classic Vasaloppsmark, and you pass a total of seven checkpoints. Here you can refuel with drinks and energy, and there’s also bike service where you can get help with simple repairs. Toilets and medical personnel are available at all checkpoints.
There are four cut-off times – at the checkpoints in Evertsberg, Oxberg, Hökberg and Eldris – but you have plenty of time to reach the finish, which closes at 20.00. Remember to be considerate on the course: look an extra time before you overtake and listen carefully to other cyclists’ calls like “keep right” and “passing on the left”.
When you arrive in Mora and glimpse the church tower, you know the final stretch is approaching. Then it’s time to gear up for the finish. Remember to savor the moment as you roll in under the historic finish line.
After crossing the finish line, you receive your well-earned medal and are offered drinks and snacks. When you’re ready, cycle to the showers at Prästholmens IP where your bag is waiting. After showering and washing your bike, you can cycle back to the finish area, pick up your diploma and continue celebrating and mingling with all the other cyclists. Guarded, free bike parking is available at the finish area and at Prästholmen.
Every finish is a victory. We’ll see you on the course!

Along the Vasaloppet course there are seven official checkpoints: Smågan, Mångsbodarna, Risberg, Evertsberg, Oxberg, Hökberg and Eldris.
And a smaller refreshment station located in Vasslan, in the middle between Evertsberg and Oxberg.
Drink and energy in various forms is served at all checkpoints. Specifics on what is served can be found on the detailed race map.
We will help with repairs at all the checkpoints along the track. An invoice for any materials used will be mailed to you after the race; the service itself is free of charge.
There are toilets and medical services at all checkpoints, as well as at the start and finish.
At all checkpoints (not Hökberg), you can choose a “drive-through-corridor” without stopping for any refreshments.

For your security there are restrictions at some checkpoints; time limits after which you cannot pass. The checkpoint must be left 10 minutes after the time limit for arrival has expired.
If you arrive too late at a checkpoint you must abort the race. Bus transport to the finish in Mora will then be arranged.
If you reach the checkpoints within the time limits, you will be able to complete the race.
In extreme weather conditions the race directors have the right to change the time limits.
| Checkpoint | Time limit |
|---|---|
| Evertsberg | 16.30 |
| Oxberg | 17.45 |
| Hökberg | 18.30 |
| Eldris | 19.15 |
Sometimes things don’t go as planned. It’s completely okay not to finish.
Contact medical staff or an official at the nearest checkpoint. They will help you with taking care of your timing chip, reporting your withdrawal and arranging transport to the finish in Mora.
Safety first:
Rescue and medical personnel have the right to remove participants from the course if they deem it necessary.
