Book a waxing appropriate for you and your skiing. Vasaloppet collaborates with Swix who offer the best and most environmental alternative to fluorine wax on the market today.

Book ski waxing

Vasaloppet’s official waxing service can be found in Mora and in Sälen. (Only in Mora for Tjejvasan and Vasaloppet 10.)

At the earliest you can hand in your skis the day before your race. If you are going to ski Öppet Spår Sunday, you hand in your skis on Saturday, February 24. When you hand in your skis, you will be given a time when you can pick them up.

Pre-booking is possible in limited numbers. If your selected choice is no longer bookable, it may still be possible to hand your skis in for service on location in Mora or Sälen, subject to availability.

Booking conditions

• The ticket is only valid for the selected race.
• The ticket is not personal.
• Purchased ticket will not be refunded.
• Addition regarding covid-19:
  If the events are affected by covid-19 restrictions, government decisions, etc. we retain the right to adjust the course, dates and times for participation and/or other conditions for the events if we deem it necessary to comply with applicable covid-19 rules. Vasaloppet has no obligation to repay registration fees or pay damages as compensation. If the event must be cancelled for reasons attributable to covid-19 you have the right to move your ski wax ticket to next year or to another option as above.

Ski transport to the start

When handing in your skis for waxing in Mora, the fee includes transport of your waxed skis to your start location for Vasaloppet 30, Tjejvasan, Öppet Spår Sunday and Monday, Vasaloppet 45 and Vasaloppet. Transport is in collaboration with DHL. This service is not available in Sälen.

Wax packs

• Note that cleaning (valued at 250 SEK) and structure (standard price 200 SEK) is included in the price of wax pack 1–3.
• Services 4–6 require that the skis have been cleaned.
• Services 2, 3, 5 and 6 are recommended for the 45- and 90-kilometer races.
• All packs below can also be purchased for skin skis.

1. Standard wax pack, 770 SEK
– Cleaning the grip zone and glide areas, including plush on skin skis.
– Glide. Swix glide spray applied to the glide areas.
– Structure for better glide.
– Grip wax. On skin skis the plush is impregnated.

2. Advanced wax pack, 970 SEK
– Cleaning the grip zone and glide areas, including plush on skin skis.
– Glide. Swix Marathon paraffin applied to the glide areas for better durability.
– Structure for better glide.
– Grip wax. On skin skis the plush is impregnated.

3. Racing wax pack, 1280 SEK
– Cleaning the grip zone and glide areas, including plush on skin skis.
– Glide step 1: Swix Marathon paraffin applied to the glide areas for better durability.
– Glide step 2: Swix glide spray applied to the glide areas.
– Structure for better glide.
– Grip wax. On skin skis the plush is impregnated.

4. Standard glide wax, 560 SEK
– Glide. Swix glide spray applied to the glide areas.
– Structure for better glide.

5. Advanced glide wax, 770 SEK
– Glide. Swix Marathon paraffin applied to the glide areas for better durability.
– Structure for better glide.

6. Racing glide wax, 1070 SEK
– Glide step 1: Swix Marathon paraffin applied to the glide areas for better durability.
