Hemmavasan is an exercise race for cycling and running and its distances are brought over from the regular Vasaloppet summer races. You can also choose the 10 km distance. During the period of August 15–22 you can participate in Hemmavasan wherever you are.
Hemmavasan Bike 90 – bike 94 km
Hemmavasan Bike 45 – bike 45 km
Hemmavasan Bike 30 – bike 32 km
Hemmavasan Bike 10 – bike 10 km
Choose between four distances: 94, 45, 32 and 10 kilometres. The distances are the same as the standard running races in the Vasaloppet Arena with the additional option of 10 km.
You can complete your race no matter where in the world you may be; on your favourite paths in the forests, the streets in town, along small beachside roads or on the local exercise trail.
Saturday, August 15 is the big Hemmavasan day. Vasaloppet will be with you all day. The start is at 09.00 with a live broadcast from a studio by the Vasaloppet finish in Mora.
You can participate in your race whenever you want during the period of August 15–22.
There are no cut-off time or maximum finishing times in the race. You should be able to complete the race in one go without any significant interruptions.
Hemmavasan Bike 90 – You may participate in the race from the year you turn 12.
Hemmavasan Bike 45 – You may participate in the race from the year you turn 12.
Hemmavasan Bike 30 – You may participate in the race from the year you turn 8.
Hemmavasan Bike 10 – You may participate in the race from the year you turn 8.
Time registration and app
To participate in Hemmavasan you must be able to register your race. During the race you will therefore be using an app.
If you cannot use the app, registering your race manually will also be possible.

Tips for the race
Prepare well for your race, to make it as good as possible.
- Follow the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s recommendations.
- Look over your equipment in good time before the race.
- Use an approved bike helmet.
- You can choose whichever type of bike you want but we recommend trying to approximate the experience in the Vasaloppet Arena as much as possible.
- Choose your track with care and avoid roads with heavy traffic.
- Take care both for your own sake and for others on the road. Show consideration and take no unnecessary risks.

The start for Hemmavasan will be 09.00 on Saturday, August 15. Vasaloppet will be active all day with a twelve-hour live broadcast in Vasaloppet.TV from a studio at the Vasaloppet finish line. In the broadcast you can follow participants around the country and world, get live reports and preparation tips from our Kranskulla and Kransmas and other guests and experts in the studio. Several elite skiers and celebrities will also broadcast their races live, among them Jenny and Susanna Kallur who are aiming for Vasaloppstrippeln 45 and participating in Hemmavasan Cykel 45 and Hemmavasan Ultra 45; and last year’s winner of Cykelvasan 90, Emil Lindgren.

After completing the race you can download a digital diploma on the results page at vasaloppet.se.
You who participate in Hemmavasan get a personal celebration film created by Volvo. A link to the film is delivered to your registered email address and mobile number directly after finishing. Your amazing efforts are being celebrated and become a memory you can easily share.
This year the terms will be somewhat adjusted since the Vasaloppet Summer Week 2020 won’t be held on location in the Vasaloppet Arena.
Those registered for Vasaloppstrippeln 2020 – and who have completed their skiing section this year – have the option of completing Vasaloppstrippeln with cycling and running in Hemmavasan 2020. You can also choose to count your 2020 ski race as part of Vasaloppstrippeln 2021.
