Welcome to Vasaloppet 10 – skiing through the ages

With the new race Vasaloppet 10, everyone can join and celebrate Vasaloppet's 100th anniversary this winter. Dress in training gear from a decade of your choosing, ski ten kilometres and help us create a colourful celebration of 100-year-old Vasaloppet!

Vasaloppet 10 will be held on Saturday, March 5, the day before Vasaloppet, and it runs from the last checkpoint in the Vasaloppet Arena, Eldris, up to the Vasaloppet finish line in Mora. The start is at 10:00 and the distance is near 10 kilometres. No winner will be crowned but all who finish will get a finishing time, a medal and a diploma. Vasaloppet’s Kranskulla and Kransmas will be on location, distributing garlands and prizes to the ten best dressed participants.
”The whole race will be a celebration of our 100-year-old and we hope that as many as possible will show off their dress from different time periods. Vasaloppet 10 is freestyle with classic tracks alongside a prepared surface where you can try different equipment such as broad wooden skis, skate skis or other variants,” says Tommy Höglund, Vasaloppet’s Sport Manager.

Previous Vasaloppet victors, Kranskullor and Kransmasar will be invited to the celebration race and a number of partners will contribute to the festive atmosphere in the finish line area in different ways.
”We think this race will attract many spectators and we look forward to a festive day where we celebrate and draw attention to the people’s 100-year-old, Vasaloppet. Registration is open from today, and a very warm welcome to all,” says Tommy Höglund.
